Who we are
Valley Group (Pty) Ltd ("Valley Group", "we") is the responsible party for personal information collected through valleygroup.co.za. Our Information Officer can be contacted at info@valleygroup.co.za or at Woodmead Business Park, 145 Western Service Road, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191.
What we collect
- Details you give us in an enquiry, careers or newsletter form: your name, organisation, role, email address, phone number, country, message and any attachment.
- Technical information when you visit the site, such as device and browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies with your consent (see our Cookie Policy).
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and route it to the right team.
- To consider you for roles, if you send us your details.
- To send The Valley Brief, if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it, if you accept analytics cookies.
We process personal information on the basis of your consent, to take steps you have asked for, or for our legitimate interests in running our business, as POPIA allows.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with group companies that need it to respond to you, and with service providers who host our website, email and forms on our behalf under written agreements that protect it. We do not sell personal information.
Transfers outside South Africa
Some of our service providers, and our operations in Botswana, Namibia and Hong Kong, may process information outside South Africa. When this happens, we make sure the information is protected to the standard POPIA requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, careers information for up to 12 months, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal information, to give you access to it, to correct or delete it, or to stop processing it. You may withdraw consent at any time. Contact our Information Officer at info@valleygroup.co.za. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
